The portable heater in the corner is usually the first clue. It comes out in the early months of the year, disappears for a while, and then the pedestal fan takes its place when the room becomes too warm later on. By summer, the same room that needed help in the morning may need cooling after the roof, glass, or outside wall has held heat through the day.
