Much of the suburb sits high on a ridge, while other homes look toward the Lane Cove River, mangroves, bushland edges, Buffalo Creek, Kittys Creek, Magdala Park and the Field of Mars side of Ryde. That mix creates air conditioning decisions that are not just about the room inside.
A house on the ridge may get different sun and wind exposure from a home lower toward Pittwater Road. A river-facing room may hold humidity differently from a bedroom deeper inside the suburb. A bushland-edge property may need better filter access because leaves, dust, pollen and damp air can affect how the system is maintained over time.
